Do you know anyone with a lot of Passion?
I (JC) do!
His name is El Ser´gio Garcia! The big winner this week at the Cock-a-Doodle-Doo Championship (Sanderson Farms Championship).
Sergio has an interesting past and is not the most popular player, but he definitely has the CASH MONEY to back it up. The Spaniard added to his trophy case a rooster and a big ol’ check ($1.1 million). Sergio is now ranked 9th on the all time money list making over $55 million in his career.
Sergio started Sunday in the final group but was quickly passed up by a guy wearing a bucket hat. Peter Malnati started way back in the tournament but ended his day carding a score of 63 was two ahead of Sergio. Peter stood by the 18th green and watched Sergio hit his approach to 2 feet. Sergio knocked in the birdie to win on the 72 hole closing out the championship.

Sergio wins his 11th PGA Tour Title. But has 16 European Tour Wins and 1 Green Jacket (The Masters).
Sergio is no favorite but is moving in the right direction in preparation for the Masters.
LPGA Winner Hot or Not?
Mel Reid of England was hot coming into this week playing some great golf. Mel took home the crystal after finishing her round of 67 to shoot -19 under. Mel made just under $200k and locked down her first LPGA Tour Victory.
In other golf news...
Evan Harmeling wins for the first time on the Korn Ferry Tour at the Savannah Golf Championship. But he did it wearing the same outfit he wore on Saturday. Umm.. I feel like the Aloha Press has found a player to sponsor. Uhh?
PHIL MICKELSON has reported he has begun his speed training for the Masters. Phil showed off some video’s and numbers of him attempting to drive the green at Cypress Point.
How are your shots into the green compared to the Pro’s?
I think you might be surprised. Check out this chart to see how close they hit it.
