Augusta Magnolia Lane Rays Creek Amen Corner Hole 16 Green Jacket
The Aloha Press was born on December 1, 2018.
April 15, 2019, Jeff and JC recorded their first
golf podcast recapping Tiger Woods’ Victory.
What will the 2020 Masters bring the Aloha Press?
You will have to wait and see...
What will this year's Augusta look like?
For many of us, it’ll be the first time we see it without the Patrons lined each hole, greens, and tee boxes.
But who will harness the silence of Augusta come Sunday? Is Tiger putting on his 6th green jacket? Is Bryson going to hit it out of the park with his length? Is Brooks Koepka going to get back to his old ways? Is Rory Mcilroy completing the grand slam? Is Phil Mickelson going to be dressed in all black, hitting bombs, and attacking pins? Is DJ, Colin, Xander, Patrick, JT, Tony, or many others going to be fitted for their first Jacket?
History will be made come Sunday and I can’t wait to start watching it on Thursday. But how are you going to view it? On the couch eating Masters style food? On the Company's dollar eating a Snack Pack? In a dark Strip Club eating deep fried-tater tots? With Friends or Family eating Georgia BBQ? JD’s bus at Hooters 🦉 eating Diet Cokes, Vodka, and Few Cigs?
Or are you going to be creating your own featured group? The Master APP, has provided you the ability to watch golf wherever you are but you can create your own group of golfers.
Wait… You need more information! Plus we added a few expert guests making their expert predictions.
-Sergio Garcia withdrawals from the Master after testing positive for covid.
-Jon Rahm cards an ace after skipping it off the water on hole 16. Oh and on his B-Day. Watch.
-Dustin Johnson's Favorite tradition at the Masters is the Sandwiches? Thanks, DJ, let's try not to make it a tradition of you falling down a set of stairs this year. Watch.
-Colin Morikowa is a Major Championship but he is making his first trip to Augusta.
Tiger Played Dinner Host.
Augusta National kept its tradition of the Tuesday Night Champions Dinner and it looked amazing!
The Masters Fun Facts:
No Green Reading books this week for the players.
Hole 13 and 18 have an added cluster of trees.
The rough is up this year at 1inch.
Due to the warm weather, the bermudagrass has not all the way died out yet with the overseeded ryegrass. Should be interesting if the different types of grass will play a significance.
The Masters has lost an estimated 200 million dollars in fan revenue. From food, gear, ticket sales, and much more. But keep in mind the community has also lost out on hundreds of millions of dollars without the 40,000 plus fans who come to town.
The Masters will have just around 1000 people on the property during the tournament this year. Members, players, media, and volunteers.
How to turn your golf bets into new gear…
By:Oliver with @offthedeck_golf
Who’s ready to sit on the couch for 4 straight days to watch The Masters? Every golf fan! So what could make the Masters even better...sports betting! It’s either going to be a crushing defeat or you’re buying some new sticks with the winnings!
The safe bet this week is of course DJ. Coming in at 9/1. The only person that is favored over him is Bryson. So what separates the two? They both bomb the ball and have been putting lights out. I give a slight advantage to DJ because he is coming off a T2 last week in Houston. This shows he’s peaking at the right time and has the length to overpower Augusta National.
The ”I’ve got a good feeling” bet: Ian Poulter. With 2020 being well...2020, why not keep it headed south? I kid, I like Poulter unless it’s the Ryder Cup, in which every American should hate him. The man has ice in his veins. Saying that he’s played on the big stage for years and if he’s clicking he can win anything. Sitting with odds at 130/1, it could be an easy grab at some dough.
The long-shot: JT Poston at 450/1. JT has been playing some good golf lately. With making 4 cuts in a row including a 3rd and getting 20th this past week, he’s playing respectable golf. With that being said, clearly don’t bet the house. Throw 10 bucks on him and if lightning strikes drinks are on you!
